House rules

There is no upperage restriction.

Residents should usually be students or trainees, although an element of discretion exists for special cases.

People applying for residence in the House should be in agreement with its aims and be willing to co-operate with the staff team and other residents to ensure the smooth running of the House and its community.

Under no circumstances is any alcoholic drink to be brought onto or consumed on the premises.

Please note that smoking is not allowed anywhere inside MIH. Our
designated smoking areas are in the garden and outside the front door.

Rooms are allocated to applicants on the strict understanding that they have a license to occupy a room and not a tenancy agreement.

The Management may require a resident to move to a different room during the term of this agreement upon giving the resident notice.

Where there is a clear breach of the agreement on the part of the resident, the Management is entitled to possession of the premises by serving on the resident a formal written notice which details the grounds under which possession is being sought. The period of notice will be at the discretion of the Management but will normally be one week.
